Helix capillary adaptor cells feature a
patented design that permits ultra precise spectrophotometric
and fluoroscopic DNA measurements using undiluted samples
as small as 3 micro liters, one tenth the mass required for
measurements in ordinary cuvettes. These highly sensitive
cells can detect as little as one nanogram of DNA.
Absorbance and Fluorescence Cells
Helix offers adapter cells for measuring
both absorbance
and fluorescence
using standard spectrophotometers and fluorometers. Each cell
contains two fused silica cylindrical lenses, one for focusing
a light beam onto the capillary, and the other for collecting
and directing the transmitted beam for optimal detection.
The fluorescence cells also employ front surface mirrors to
reflect and concentrate both the excitation light and the
light emitted from the sample.
- precise measurements from undiluted samples as small
a 3 micro liters
- quartz optics for optimum light throughput
- sealable, disposable capillaries for easy handling and
fast cleanup
- recoverable samples for maximum economy
- can improve absolute detection limit
Convenient cell kits include one cell, a
vial of either quartz or glass capillaries, an optional supply
of capillary sealant, and an Allen wrench for disassembling
and cleaning the cell. |
