For fast, reliable processing of multiple
parallel samples, Helix offers our patented microwell plates
and high-density replicator tools. Used in combination either
manually or in robotic systems, these accessories provide
maximum economy and efficiency in high-throughput applications.
Microwell Plates
Our 864-well microwell plates allow parallel
processing of up to 864 samples, using a much smaller sample
volume than conventional plates. All 864 of the 20 ml wells
occupy the same footprint as an ordinary 96-well plate, reducing
storage and shipping volumes by up to 18 times.
They are arranged in a 24 x 36 grid, spaced
for standard 8- and 12-channel pipettes. The precision, efficiency,
and versatility of these unique plates makes them ideal for
use in a wide range of applications, including molecular biology,
hematology, immunology, rational drug design, hybridoma technology,
and clinical chemistry. All Helix microwell plates are available
in white, black, or clear autoclavable, high-thermal conductivity
plastics with a surface clarity that allows in situ optical
measurements.
- parallel processing of up to 864 samples
- same space-saving footprint as 96-well plates
- 20 micro-liter wells reduce storage and shipping volumes
- top-quality plastics allow autoclaving and in situ optical
measurements
High-Density Replicator Tools
Our 864-well microwell plates allow Helix
high-density biological replicator tools combine lightweight
aluminum construction with a unique floating stainless steel
pin design to provide the ultimate in performance, durability,
and versatility. The tapered transfer pins are free to slide
or float within the holder plates, making the unit ideal for
use on either rigid or flexible and uneven surfaces. Each
pin is precision machined to a 0.045-inch diameter, transferring
a nominal 10 nanoliters of liquid for optimum efficiency and
economy.
Available in 384- and 864-pin models, these
tools can be used both with standard 384-well and Helix 864-well
plastic plates. They are designed for both smooth, efficient
manual operation and easy robotic application.
- floating stainless steel transfer pins provide accurate
deposits on virtually any surface
- tapered pins transfer a mere 10 nanoliters of liquid for
maximum economy
- versatile design allows for manual use or easy robotic
application
